New "TANDEM" axles                                                                    September 2009

The wheels' pairs cover a bigger surface therefore the friction between the machine and the ground is reduced.

This specific axle reduces a significant 50% of the sprayer's vertical movements on particularly bumpy grounds; oscillations and jolts are least thanks to the reduction of pressure on the machine itself and on the sprayhead too. This enables a higher progressing speed and a more homogeneous distribution indeed.

"JOKER"  HYDRAULIC AIR BOOM                                                June 2009

The new pneumatic “JOKER” boom, hydraulically controlled, has been specially designed and made to meet customer's requirement to spray the crops with narrow and not particularly tall rows,  still ensuring a large coverage area.

The modular design allows to create custom made booms according to the crops to be treated.

 Forced feeding of                                September  2008
  additional agitation pump

On trailed and articulated sprayers equipped with the secondary pump (additional agitation pump) the hydraulic system has been modified by deriving the main pump delivery to the suction of secondary pump.

In this way, the supply to the secondary pump is "forced" in any condition of employment, even extreme, for example with the sprayer on steep slopes and with the tank almost empty; this avoids that the pump runs dry with the danger that the mechanical seal will overheat damaging them beyond repair and impairing the pump.

Check Valve  (no backflow)                         September  2008
 in the  main pump suction

A check valve has been put in the main pump suction on all trailed BLITZ and articulated LINK sprayers. When the operator stops the sprayer, this check valve prevents the pump to empty out even if the sprayer is working on sloping grounds or with the tank almost empty. In this way, when the operator starts spraying again, the delivery is not interrupted and this check valve avoids any damages to the mechanical seal which would compromise the working of the pump.

Increase of hydraulic agitation                    September  2008

The hydraulic circuit of the sprayers has been modified as follows : the main pump delivery has been split so that part of it goes directly into the tank. In this way, reducing the delivery to the feeding line of the sprayhead, with the pressure regulator completely open it is possible to decrease the operating pressure up to 0,6 bar. At the same time, the hydraulic agitation increases as a further guarantee of the uniformity of the mixing of water and phytosanitary products inside the tank, a part from the operating pressure.

New steering drawbars (steering rudders)  May 2008

The range of steering drawbars , that can be fitted on the trailed BLITZ sprayers instead of the standard drawbars, has been completely updated. The new steering drawbars have been strengthened and altered in the structure to further improve their functional characteristics and to make them even more suited to the various operating requirements.

NEW ANTI-DRIP DEVICE                         October 2004
 (Patent n° 04425692)

To guarantee maximum efficiency of the anti-drip device with which every sprayer is equipped, all the CIMA sprayheads, are fitted out with the new anti-drip device, an internationally patented product, which totally eliminates the droplet phenomena. The problem on hand was the following: at the end of spraying operation seeing as though the small feeding hoses of the nozzles are all found at different heights, the liquid tends to flow from the highest tube to the lowest one due to the communicating vessels principle until consequently, it finally comes out in droplets on the ground.

Most of the non-return valves work with positive pressure and therefore, in this case, they cannot be used, as the circuit pressure, measured after the calibration device ( yellow disk), is close to zero or negative.
For this reason CIMA has designed and created a group of valves which, once mounted on the distribution manifold, function without pressure but simply due to the law of gravity.
